About this workshop
There is something ancient and alive about giving shape to a character with your own hands. In this workshop, you will craft your very own puppet, a chimpanzee, a creature, a personality, from nothing but cardboard, paint, and the quiet intelligence of your fingers.
You will design it. You will give it movement, expression, a way of existing in the world. No experience needed. No prior skill required. Only the willingness to sit down, slow down, and make something that didn't exist before you arrived.
This is not a craft class. It is an encounter with your own creative instinct, the part of you that has always known how to play, and perhaps forgotten.
Take your creation home. Let it remind you of what your hands are capable of.
Every session begins with one simple question: What kind of creature do you want to bring into the world? I guide each participant individually, responding to their intuition more than teaching technique and there’s a moment I always wait for: when a puppet suddenly feels alive in the hands of the person who made it. Participants leave not just with a finished piece, but with the confidence that storytelling can take many forms, including the ones shaped by their own hands.
